Authorities have arrested a suspect in the April 28th fatal shooting of an employee at Mandina’s restaurant in New Orleans. The alleged gunman, 22-year-old Kyron Fazande, was taken into custody at a home in Houston. He’s accused of killing 23-year-old Hilbert Walker the Third. A customer at the restaurant was also wounded.

The Louisiana House has approved legislation requiring public school employees to use the names and pronouns on a students’ birth certificate unless parents provide written permission to do so otherwise.
