One Louisiana Congressman is upset over the lack of negotiations as the federal government shutdown enters its eighth day. Jeff Palermo has the story.

Medicaid provider reimbursements are up in Louisiana. State Health Secretary Bruce Greenstein (green-steen) delivered the news in a press conference yesterday.

Now that State Police have released new video that showed Kyren Lacy’s role in last December’s fatal crash in Thibodaux, does that change things? Late last week, Lacy’s lawyer suggested that video taken from a different angle exonerated the late LSU star of any wrongdoing. But the new video clearly shows him speeding left of center in a no-passing zone, leading to an oncoming swerving to avoid hitting him and crashing head-on into an SUV, killing that vehicle’s driver. Legal analyst Franz Borghardt says based on the new video, he has no issue with how State Police investigated and charged Lacy.
