The Shreveport community issues an emotional plea for information after two girls die from injuries suffered in a house fire last week. Nine-year-old Aaliyah Robinson and five-year-old Danielle Spearman died after being taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Shreveport Fire Chief Clarence Reese says while the fire is being investigated as arson.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to five thousand dollars for information leading to an arrest in this case.

President Trump honors Louisiana’s two national championship baseball teams at the White House. In a 30-minute ceremony in the East Wing, Trump praised the LSU Tigers and the LSU-Shreveport Pilots. Trump noted that many LSU players were drafted by Major League Baseball teams following their College World Series win.

Businesses that need to report their monthly waste tire fees to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality now have an online portal to use for that purpose. LDEQ Undersecretary Theresa Delafosse (DELL-ah-foss) says it’s meant to make the task a lot more convenient.
