The family of a murdered New Orleans teenager chose a unique manner to honor his memory by displaying his body as he lived: playing video games and surrounded by snacks. The images of the teen’s wake are spreading across the internet. Embalmer and Funeral Director for Charbonnet Funeral Home, Stephanie Simon, says the family was happy with the presentation of the teen and she says others have shown up after seeing the story online.

A Shreveport man has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of Bigamy. 40-year-old Jeffery Brooks had already been convicted of sex crimes in November against two teenage girls when investigators discovered he has also married to two different women. Assistant DA Britney Green says Bigamy is not a victimless crime, and can lead to spouses getting taken advantage of financially.
Two Jonesboro men have been arrested and charged with arson with attempt to defraud, and criminal conspiracy after allegedly setting a 2016 Chrysler 300 on fire. State Fire Marshal Spokesperson Ashley Rodrigue says Anthony Burns, 37, and his uncle David Caldwell, 33, were charged in the event. She says Caldwell confessed to starting the fire after being questioned by the police, but Burns has not admitted to any of the charges…

Former Louisiana State Police Superintendent Mike Edmonson has been subpoenaed to testify at a hearing his week involving troopers who are appealing demotions and reprimands they received for taking a tax payer funded adventure to Vegas. The three troopers say Edmondson authorized the trip. Despite the order, Legal Analyst Tim Meche says Edmonson might not end up taking the stand.
