Plans have been finalized for the eventual removal of the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel site in New Orleans. The site’s developer 1031 Canal Development LLC say they’ve worked out a plan that involves 24 hours security, hiring of a national engineering firm, and also a plan to create a temporary access option for the historic Saenger Theater, which is right next door and has been closed since the collapse.

If you think it’s chilly out right now, just wait for tonight: low temperatures are expected to hit the 20s for most of the state, with lows in the low 30s near the coast. Good news is at least the hard freeze is not expected to stay for long. National Weather Service meteorologist Robert Ricks says temperatures will be out of the 20s by tomorrow afternoon.
