Authorities have arrested a Lafayette man for the murder of a Lake Charles Lyft driver and a second suspect died when he ran into traffic trying to escape authorities. Twenty-three-year-old Ethan Bush of Boyce was pronounced dead after he was struck by traffic. Guillory says 26-year-old Tristan Bush of Lafayette is facing second degree murder charges.

After a shooting on LSU’s campus injured two people Saturday during the football game, Governor Landry has issued an order for state police to work with LSU and local law enforcement. According to LSU, they typically have 600 officers from various agencies on duty during football games and in the coming days will review resources and protocols. University officials say they are fully committed to protecting everyone who comes onto camps and as they enhance public safety protocols, they will communicate the changes.
