At a press conference in Leesville, federal officials announced a Lafayette grand jury returned a 12-count indictment against 11 individuals involved in an alleged multi-parish drug trafficking organization. FBI agent Jonathan Tapp says one of the search warrants they executed resulted in law enforcement recovering a large amount of cocaine and fentanyl…

As required by a new law, cameras are being installed inside every public and charter school special education classroom. Bill author, Representative Shane Mack, says it’s to help everyone when incidents occur but the cameras are only part of what the law does to help parents and school faculty and staff.
