ULM and La Tech football will play each other this year November 21st in Shreveport at the Independence Stadium.

The game comes as both teams were scrambling to replace their previously scheduled SEC contests. La Tech Atheltics Director Tommy McClelland says the high capacity stadium will allow for a lot of fan attendance even if capacity restrictions are in place.

LSU comes in at number five in the preseason coaches’ poll behind Clemson at 1, Ohio State at 2, Bama at 3, and Georgia at 4. USA Today sportswriter Glenn Guilbeau credits Clemson’s high ranking to their returning quarterback but also points out that LSU fans shouldn’t be upset.

Six SEC teams made the top 25 for the Coaches preseason poll, including Florida (8), Auburn (11), and Texas A & M (13).

LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward says operating at a restricted attendance capacity for LSU football games is going to cost the program tens of millions of dollars this year. Woodward says they’re moving to trying and limit the fiscal damage that will be done to student-athletes as a result of the likely implementation of capacity restrictions once games start September 26th.
