Schools in Joe Burrow’s hometown of Athens, Ohio are celebrating purple and gold day today ahead of what is a near-lock for the QB to secure the Heisman Trophy Saturday night. Travis Brand, owner of the formerly Burrow frequented Gigi’s Country Kitchen back in Athens says the town is Ohio State country, but this year you could find of Purple and Gold peppered throughout the community.

Former Saints linebacker and member of the famed Dome Patrol, Vaughn Johnson has died at the age of 57. He died at his home in North Carolina from kidney disease.

Ouachita Christian beats Catholic High of Pointe Coupee 67-22 in the Division Four title game. Ouachita QB Hunter Herring rushed for four touchdowns and passed for three, while Will Fitzhugh had two picks, returning one for a touchdown.
