Tonight in Yulman Stadium, Tulane will host Houston in the American Athletic Conference opener for both teams. Last year the Cougars beat the Green Wave 48-17 in Houston on a Thursday night.
Coach Sean Payton is not announcing a starting quarterback for Sunday’s game at Seattle, but veteran Teddy Bridgewater is expected to get the nod. Bridgewater’s last win as a starting Q-B was week 17 of the 2015 season when he was a member of the Vikings. Seattle is a tough place to play, so that will be a challenge for Bridgewater and his rookie center Erik McCoy. McCoy says running the football is one of their big keys and they hope some long sustained drives can’t keep the crowd out of it…

The Pelicans announced today that Fox Sports New Orleans will broadcast 72 regular-season games this year, plus a preseason game at the Smoothie King Center on October 11th versus the Utah Jazz.
