The Saints have reportedly restructured defensive tackle David Onyemata’s contract, which will create four-point-three million dollars in cap space. Onyemata signed a three-year, 26 million dollar deal prior to the 2020 season.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says the Saints have also discussed with teams the possibility of trading defensive tackle Malcolm Brown, who is entering the final year of three-year, 15-million dollar contract. Rapoport says the Saints would ave five million dollars against the cap if they either traded or released Brown.
With Louisiana moving into phase 3, sporting events can now increase fan capacity to 50 percent. LSU says they plan to do so, once the state fire marshal’s office approves their plans.
The LSU men’s basketball team easily defeated Vanderbilt last night 83-68 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The Tigers improved to 10-6 in the SEC and they clinched a double-bye in the SEC Tournament. Also, Northwestern State looks to sweep the season series over the Privateers as the two teams meet in New Orleans. Southeastern Louisiana also looks to complete a season series sweep of Central Arkansas when the two teams meet in Conway.
