Reggie Bush and Marques Colston will be inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in October. Former Governor Kathleen Blacnco will receive the Fleur de Lis award for her contributions to the Saints organization. Bush and Colston were drafted in 2006, months after Hurricane Katrina devasted the city and the two helped the franchise win their only Super Bowl in 2009.

Colston is the team’s all-time leader in catches, receiving yardage and total touchdowns.

Blanco led the effort to repair and improve the Superdome after it was damaged by Katrina, which allowed the Saints to return to the Dome in 2006 after playing home games in New York, Baton Rouge and San Antonio in 2005.

Dates and times are set for the Saints four preseason games. New Orleans will host Minnesota on August 9th at 7 PM, visit the Chargers on August 18th for a 3 PM kick-off. Take on the Jets in New York at 6:30 on August 24th and then host Miami in the preseason finale on August 29th at 7.

The LSU-Florida State Super Regional Series will begin Saturday at Alex Box Stadium. The Seminoles are much like the Tigers, they had high expectations prior to the season, but struggled during the year and they’ve gotten hot at the right time. The voice of Florida State baseball team Eric Luallen says the Noles are led by slugging third baseman Drew Mendoza, who has hit 16 home runs…

The team is also playing for its legendary coach Mike Martin, who has won over two-thousand games, but is still searching for that elusive national title and he’ll retire when this season comes to an end.

The NCAA announces that the three-point line in men’s basketball will move back to the international distance, which is 22 feet, 1 3-quarters inches. The Association’s playing rules oversight panel approved the rule change, which will be in place next season.
