The Pelicans are looking for their fifth straight win tonight as they visit the Chicago Bulls. A win for New Orleans also gets them back to the .500 mark with a 12-and-12 record. Seven players scored in double figures last night as the Pels defeated the Houston Rockets 130 to 101.

The LSU men’s basketball team is at Mississippi State tonight. The Tigers are second in the SEC in scoring, averaging 82 points per game, but Coach Will Wade says some of his players need to impact the game in other ways besides scoring…

Clemson linebacker Mike Jones Junior has announced he’s transferring to LSU. Coach Ed Orgeron had previously said he hoped to find a linebacker or two in the transfer portal. Jones entered the transfer portal on January 25th after starting seven games for Clemson last season and recording 30 tackles, four tackles for a loss, four pass breakups and two interceptions. He will be eligible to play in the fall.

So LSU can sign just one more player this year. The Tigers 2021 recruiting class ranks third in the country after four-star Walker High receiver Brian Thomas Junior signed with the Bayou Bengals yesterday. The addition of Thomas gives them ten receivers on their roster.

The defending champs in the SWAC, Alcorn State, has decided not to play football this spring due to concerns and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Alcorn was scheduled to play at Southern on March 27th, while Grambling did not have the Braves on their schedule this spring.
