The seventh ranked LSU baseball team improved to 10-0 in midweek games last night with a 12-3 win over Louisiana Tech. It was an excellent time to give a few freshman pitchers some experience. LSU will begin a seven-game road trip tomorrow night as they open an SEC series at Oklahoma.

Louisiana Tech is in Lafayette tonight to face the Ragin Cajuns. U-L defeated Northwestern State nine to seven last night for its fourth win in a row. The Cajuns are now 15-and-15 on the season. The Demons are 18-and-10 and they are Tulane tonight.

At the NFL owners meetings, Saints head coach Kellen Moore talked about the team’s decision to resign tight end Juwan Johnson to a three-year, 30.8 million dollar contract. The 28-year-old Johnson had a career-high 50 receptions last season, but Moore believes he can make Johnson an even bigger threat in the passing game.

LSU men’s basketball has signed a third player from the transfer portal. Six-foot-six Rashad King is averaging 18.5 points a game at Northeastern.

McNeese has signed former four star recruit Jacolb Fredson-Cole. The six-foot-seven barely saw any playing time at Oklahoma this past season.

Louisiana Tech star Sean Newman has committed to San Diego State. Newman ranked third in the country in assists, averaging nearly eight a game.
