Offensive tackle Will Campbell’s arms measured 33 inches at LSU Pro Day, which was a little longer than the measurements taken at the NFL draft combine last month. Campbell says his arms did not grow over the last month. He says the measurements were messed up at the combine. A minimum of 34 inches is the standard for offensive tackles in the NFL, but Campbell doesn’t think it matters…

The NFL Competition Committee has recommended that after a touchback on a kick-off that lands in the end zone on the fly, the ball should be spotted at the 35-yard line, instead of the 30-yard. The committee is hoping this will lead to more returns. The NFL owners will vote on the proposal next week.

The eighth ranked LSU baseball team will host Mississippi State tonight to begin a three-game series. The Tigers are 4-2 in league play, while Mississippi State is 1-5 in the SEC. Coach Jay Johnson says this is a talented Bulldogs baseball team…

LSU will start Kade Anderson on the mound tonight, Mississippi State has shuffled its weekend rotation because of the Thursday night start, so they will NOT pitch its ace tonight. First pitch is at 7 PM. Weather could be a factor for games two and three.

The Ragin Cajuns will open their series against James Madison tomorrow at 1 PM to avoid the rain that’s moving in. After beating Central Arkansas and Little Rock on Tuesday and Wednesday, ULM is at Arkansas State this weekend.
