Bad news concerning Saints pro bowl center Erik McCoy as he’ll reportedly miss six to eight weeks, because he’ll need surgery to repair an injured groin. We’ll hear from Coach Dennis Allen tomorrow about this report, but here’s what he said on Monday….

Veteran Lucas Patrick moved from guard to center during Sunday’s loss to the Eagles and he’ll likely take over at center. But McCoy is considered the glue of the offensive line and his absence in Philadelphia’s loss was evident.
New Orleans will be at Atlanta this Sunday and the Falcons lost their starting Drew Dalman. He was placed on injured reserve today with a high ankle sprain. Atlanta could also be without starting right tackle Kaleb McCray who left last Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs with an injury.
