The Saints will face the 49ers in San Francisco on Sunday night in preseason game number two. Coach Dennis Allen declined to say if the starters will play. Starting left tackle Taliese Fuaga (Tah-lee-ess-say Foo-ah-gah) did not practice on Friday. But Allen says his back tightness issue should not keep him from being ready to play in the regular season opener.

Wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is the latest injury issue. Allen says he has either a toe or foot injury. Running back Alvin Kamara also remains sidelined with an injury and the team says it has not thing to do with Kamara wanting a contract extension.

There’s a good chance we’ll see rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler play on Sunday. Rattler will look to improve on his performance from the preseason opener…

Rattler was 9 of 17 for 70 yards against the Cardinals last weekend. Kick-off in San Fran on Sunday is at 7 PM.

LSU running back John Emery is back for a sixth season. Emery had his season cut short last year when he tore his ACL in November. He entered the transfer portal following the 2023 campaign, took a look at UCLA, but decided to stay at LSU. Coach Brian Kelly is glad Emery is still a Tiger…
