The New Orleans Pelicans will host the Phoenix Suns tonight. The Suns are 22-and-18 and they’ve won three in a row. The Pels are 25-and-17 and in fifth place in the West. They’ve shot the ball really well lately, eight games of 40-plus percent three-point shooting over the last ten games.

LSU football coach Brian Kelly has filled out his coaching staff on defense. Corey Raymond has been brought back after two seasons at Florida to coach cornerbacks for the Tigers. Jake Olsen was a defensive analyst at Missouri last season and he’ll coach safeties for LSU. Kevin Peoples is also coming from Missouri and he’ll coach the edge rushers.
Former LSU offensive tackle Lance Heard has transferred to Tennessee. Heard is a former five-star prospect from Neville High School in Monroe.
In college hoops action tomorrow…the Cajuns are at South Alabama. Both teams are 3-and-3 in the Sun Belt. ULM is at Old Dominion. The two teams have combined to win one league game.
Louisiana Tech is at Jacksonville State. Both teams are 2-and-1 in league play.
In the Southland. McNeese is at UIW. UNO hosts Northwestern State. Nicholls travels to Texas A-and-M Corpus Christi. Southeastern hosts Texas A-and-M Commerce.
