The LSU Tigers completed their mission of achieving a ten-win season as LSU rallied in the final minutes to beat Wisconsin 35-31 in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa.

Garrett Nussmeier was named the game’s MVP. In his first collegiate start, Nussmeier threw for 395 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Nussmeier led LSU on an eight-play, 98-yards drive for the winning touchdown with just over three minutes left.

Two of Nussmeier’s three touchdown passes went to Brian Thomas, who finished with eight catches for 98 yards.

Malik Nabers played the first half and caught three passes for 23 yards and that was enough to set the all-time record at LSU for receiving yards.

The defense struggled giving up 508 yards, but back-to-back sacks on the Badgers final drive put the game away.
LSU wins ten games for a second consecutive season and for Coach Brian Kelly it’s his seventh straight ten win season.
