With three regular season games left, the statistics do no look pretty for LSU’s defense. Out of 130 FBS teams, LSU ranks 122nd in allowing teams to convert on third down, 129th in Red Zone defense and the Tigers are 97th in total defense. During his Monday press conference, Coach Brian Kelly was asked how much work will be needed in the offseason to fix the problems on defense….

In Saturday’s loss to Alabama, Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe had a career-high 155 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Kelly said one adjustment he wishes they made, was putting a spy on Milroe.

The Saints forced five turnovers in their 24-17 win over the Chicago Bears. After recording just seven interceptions last season, New Orleans has an NFL-high 12 interceptions. Coach Dennis Allen says it’s been more of an emphasis this season…

In basketball…the top ranked LSU women’s basketball team dropped its season opener to 20th ranked Colorado 92-78. Seven footer Will Baker had 29 points as the Tigers men’s team defeated Mississippi Valley State 106 to 60. McNeese opened the Will Wade era with a 76-65 victory over VCU. Wade is serving a ten-game suspension to open the season.
