LSU safety Greg Brooks is recovering after undergoing brain surgery to remove what his family says was a large tumor. Coach Brian Kelly said an MRI detected the tumor after Brooks complained about dizzy spells. Kelly says it’s too early to tell if Brooks will play again…

Six of Louisiana Tech’s most decorated student-athletes will have a statue unveiled in their honor tonight at Champions Plaza, which is located near the north end zone of Joe Aillet Stadium. The Saints are 2-and-0 and the defense is a big reason for the franchise’s first 2-0 start since 2013. They’ve only allowed 32 points in the first two games and Coach Dennis Allen was asked if they can keep holding teams to less than 20 points a game…

Going back to last season, the Saints have held opponents to 20 points or fewer in ten straight regular-season games and 11 of 12.

But the Saints will not have safety Marcus Maye for the next three games. He’s been suspended for violating the league’s policy on substance abuse. May was arrested in 2021 for a DUI and accepted a plea deal in late August.
