In spite of this week’s rain, we’re still in a drought. Since August 1st State Climatologist Barry Keim says Louisiana has received 6-point-four inches of rain, but 15-point-seven inches would be considered normal for that time period. He says that’s only about 40 percent of the normal rainfall amount.

the Cincinnati Bengal will be without former LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow for the rest of the season. Burrow was visibly shaken by his inability to grip the football after a second quarter injury sidelined him in Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Burrow was ruled out for the game due to what was believed to be a wrist sprain. It is now known Burrow suffered a torn ligament.
