Two brothers are facing first-degree murder charges after a weekend shooting that left two men dead in a Raceland home.  Deputies took 34 year old Kerry Alexander and 28 year old Jerrell Alexander into custody on Saturday night.  LaFourche Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Brennan Matherne says the brothers have extensive criminal histories.  They are now being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.

An 8-year-old Vinton child diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor earlier this year made a simple request for the holidays.  Drake Quibodeaux wanted plenty of Christmas cards.  So far, he’s opened more than 30,000, including cards from some notable names including President Trump and country music singer Tim McGraw.   A GoFundMe page for the family is sending them to the Fiesta Bowl, Disney World, and help with medical bills.
