Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill reacted to the ruling upholding a ban on Louisiana’s law requiring the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public-school classroom by a panel at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She said in a statement, “We strongly disagree with the Fifth Circuit’s affirmance of an injunction preventing five Louisiana parishes from implementing HB71. We will immediately seek relief from the full Fifth Circuit and, if necessary, the U.S. Supreme Court,” Friday, upon upholding an earlier lower court’s ruling barring the state from enforcing the law, The 3-Judge Panel called the law “plainly unconstitutional”.
