Term-limited Governor John Bel Edwards says his transition out of office is going as planned. As he prepares to turn over power to Louisiana’s 57th governor, Edwards says his team is prepared to hand over the reins to Landry’s administration.

Governor-Elect Jeff Landry has set aside five thousand tickets for the public to attend the inaugural ball on January 8. The black-tie ball will be held at the Raising Canes River Center in Baton Rouge. Landry says he wants to give Louisianans the opportunity to be a part of a memorable occasion.

Landry will be inaugurated as Louisiana’s 57th governor. The ball is set to begin at 7 pm.

 

The Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium Renovation at ULL has been talked about for more than a decade and as work begins next month, the west side of the stadium is expected to be ready for the 2025 season. Athletic department spokesperson Evan Roberts says that means limited seating for the 2024 season…

Saturday is Election Day. On the ballot are 3 run off s and four constitutional amendments. The runoffs include Republican John Fleming and Democrat Dustin Granger for Treasurer, Democrat Lindsey Cheek and Republican Liz Murill for Attorney General, and Democrat “Gwen” Collins-Greenup and Republican Nancy Landry for Secretary of State. There are also four constitutional amendments to be decided.
