A New Orleans city councilman with a history of drunk driving was arrested for the second time early Monday morning; again for DUI. Jared Brossett was arrested last year for drinking behind the wheel when he crashed his city-issued car into another vehicle. Details of this most-recent arrest have not been released.

 

Now that the coaching future of Ed Orgeron has been decided, LSU begins the search for a new football coach. Tiger Rag Editor Ron Higgins says Athletic Director Scott Woodward will have a lot of candidates to consider…:

Higgins says LSU will be seeking a coach with a good win-loss record and no off-field baggage.

Back for the first time in over 14 years, mounted sheriff’s deputies have returned to Beauregard Parish in southwest Louisiana. Beauregard Sheriff Mark Herford says the seven-man patrol team successfully covered the parish fair last weekend, after several months of equestrian training…:
