The Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office found Medicaid paid nearly ten-million dollars to healthcare organizations for 1,072 deceased beneficiaries between February 2019 and March of this year. U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon kicked off her returning education to the states tour this morning at Jefferson Terrace Academy in Baton Rouge. She says she’s impressed with Louisiana’s recent improvement on the Nation’s Report Card, and she believes each state should decide what’s best for itself when it comes to improving student achievement in the classroom.
