The founder of Stine Home and yard, J.W. Stine, has passed away at the age of 102. After flying planes in World War Two Stine came back home to southwest Louisiana and made a series of investments in Sulphur real estate that eventually yielded the Starlin Lumber Company in the 1950s. That company morphed into Stine Home, and the businesses 11 stores across the state.
