An officer involved shooting in Lake Charles has left one man dead, but also turned up two more victims. State Police Trooper Derek Senegal says Lake Charles PD reportedly fired shots at a naked man who fired on them, then retreated into the house. It was then a SWAT team robot was sent into the house…:

No names of any of the three persons have been released. The investigation is ongoing.

Animal shelters statewide are overcrowded and under-funded. Humane Society of Louisiana Director Jeff Dorson asks if you cannot adopt a pet, at least donate to a shelter to help them in their mission…:

The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office makes an arrest for a threat of violence made against Mangham High School yesterday. A 15-year-old was taken into custody after making the post on social media and charged with Terrorizing. The boy says he was only joking. He’s likely not laughing now.
