Tomorrow is the final day of early voting. Prior to the final two days of the early voting period, Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin says more than 300,000 ballots have been cast for the runoff races thus far.

The primaries saw 354,000 votes cast in the early voting period. Ardoin expects the total for the early runoff voting to be around 400,000

In New Orleans there’s contract in hand from the Hard Rock hotel developers to begin removing the compromised structure on Canal Street. It’s still too early to know exactly how much the removal project will cost, but Structural Engineer Kerwin Julien expects there to be millions of dollars in unexpected, or indirect costs by the time the project ends.
