Pfizer applied for emergency use of their vaccine with the FDA today. Dr. John Vanchiere at LSU Health Shreveport is principal investigator on the Pfizer Vaccine clinical trial, he says 44-thousand participated worldwide, including 231 people from the Shreveport Bossier area. He says any side effects from the injection means your body is responding to the vaccine building an immune response.

Early voting began today for the December 5th run-offs. East Baton Rouge is selecting a new mayor-president, while Orleans’ voters have to choose a new district attorney. There’s also a Public Service Service Commission race in southeast Louisiana. Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin says a sample ballot is located inside the Geaux Vote Mobile App…

The Saints announced Friday they have placed QB Drew Brees on injured reserve. Brees had previously appeared on the team’s injury report during the week, but now that he’s on the injured reserve he will miss a minimum of three weeks.  Brees fractured ribs in the last two games he played along with a collapsed lung.

Taysom Hill is expected to start at quarterback for the Saints this Sunday when they take on the Atlanta Falcons.  Color Analyst for the New Orleans Saints Radio Network Deuce McAllister says Hill was named the starter due to the Saints’ gameplan and he believes that with Hill under center, the Saints will use a lot more rollout passes.
