Memorial events for music legend Dr. John who died two weeks ago will be held Saturday in New Orleans. There will be a public visitation at the Orpheum Theater from 7 until 10:30 am. A private memorial will follow from 1 to 3. Then the public is invited to a second line which begins at the Orpheum at 3 pm. Dr. John leaves the world a great body of music that he not only performed but he wrote as well. The New Orleans native died of a heart attack at the age of 77 on June 6.
