A tropical storm warning has been issued for the southeastern Louisiana coast from Grand Isle to the east.

The Edwards and Rispone campaigns have begun a war of words over a recent estimate that Rispone’s call to freeze the Medicaid expansion would throw 300,000 people off of the rolls. Rispone’s campaign says the expansion is full of waste, but Edwards is confident in the program’s integrity…

GOP mega-donor Lane Grigsby reportedly offers one of two tied Republicans in a tied Baton Rouge Senate race help winning another office if he drops out. The Advocate’s Mark Ballard says Grigsby reportedly called the seat’s term limited incumbent Dan Claitor, asking him to pass along the offer. Ballard says Claitor was concerned the offer was illegal and didn’t pass it along.

Grigsby was heavily involved in a number of primary races, including the election of Cleo Fields to the Senate, a number of BESE members, and was reportedly involved in Eddie Rispone’s run for governor.

Louisiana Economic Development is investing $3.6 million dollars into a new eight-million dollar natural gas pipeline at the Madison Parish Port near Tallulah.  L-E-D Secretary Don Pierson says the says with the gas pipeline expansion, the Port will attract more tenants.
