Legendary political reporter Cokie Roberts has passed away at the age of 75. Roberts was quintessentially New Orleans and may have lived in D.C. for work but loved to come back and visit her mom, former Congresswoman Lindy Boggs at her Bourbon Street home.
She passed away from complications resulting from breast cancer.

Tropical Depression 11 has formed off the coast of Texas and it’s expected to produce heavy rainfall in southwest Louisiana. National Weather Service Meteorologist Rob Megina says Louisiana will only see marginal effects from the depression, while Houston and Galveston could see significant flooding
The tropical depression is not expected to intensify and the center of the system could hit the coast by the end of today.
