The written exchange between Gov. John Bel Edwards and Attorney General Jeff Landry continues to escalate on the topic of capital punishment.  Jeff Palermo has the story.

More jobs are coming to Iberville Parish as Gov. John Bel Edwards and Shintech Louisiana LLC have announced a $1.49 Billion expansion.  The project is expected to create 120 new direct jobs with an average salary of more than $81k, plus benefits.  The company works in chemical production and has been in the bayou state since 1999.

 

A viral video of Becca and Johnathon Campbell, a newlywed couple, has gained achieved social media fame after a sugar-coated sabotage.  The video shows the groom, an Alabama fan, cutting into a Bama themed cake.  Upon removing the slice of cake, he discovered lurking below the icing were the LSU colors of purple and gold.  The couple made an appearance on ESPN Radio in Baton Rouge.  The bride says the prank was orchestrated with her mother’s help.

Eight people are under arrest in relation to a dismembered male body discovered in the woods outside of Walker. Authorities have identified the remains as 26-year-old Michael Neufeld of Donaldsonville. He was last seen by family members on July 2nd. Sheriff Jason Ard says they are still trying to establish an exact motive
