The founder and CEO of Acadian Ambulance, Richard Zuschlag, has passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 76. Acadian Ambulance is based in Lafayette and has 52-hundred employees, operating in four states. Zuschlag said he could not have grown this company without the help of Acadiana…

That’s Zuschlag from an interview conducted in 2022 by Talk Louisiana’s Jim Engster. Zuschlag founded Acadian Ambulance in 1971.

Secretary of State Nancy Landry says eleven bills were approved in the recently completed legislative session that will improve election integrity in Louisiana….

Landry says one of the bills allows them to check for citizenship when individuals register to vote in Louisiana.

Governor Jeff Landry has signed into law a bill that gives the governor the authority to appoint the chairs of boards that he already appoints the majority of the membership. While making that announcement, Landry says he’s keeping Mark Romero as the chairman of the University of Louisiana System, which oversees nine public universities in the state.
