Stewart says the email was produced about a year before Salamoni fatally shot Sterling. The civil case against B-R-P-D, the city and officers involved is set to go to trial in April of 2020. Salamoni has been cleared of criminal wrongdoing.

A big groundbreaking ceremony for a new medical school on the ULM campus took place today. ULM has entered a land lease agreement with Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, which will construct a building at Heritage Park and the Grove. The university says no state funds will be used on the project.
