Early Voting is underway for the November 8th election. There are eight Constitutional Amendments on the ballot, but the author of one of them, Amendment 7, wants voters to REJECT it. Brusly Rep. Folks looking for reasons for rising crime in New Orleans’ French Quarter need look no further than the Department of Public Works. About a fifth of all the street lights in the Quarter are broken or burnt out. A full third are damaged in some way or form. With the darkness comes the crime. City officials say they’re working to get the lights back ASAP.
