Former Governor Edwin Edwards is back home after he went to the hospital on Friday because he had difficulty breathing. His Biographer Leo Honeycutt says doctors ended up diagnosing 93-year old Edwards with a head cold. While the Coronavirus pandemic is spreading rapidly, Honeycutt explained that Edwards’ hospital stay was not related to Covid.
Another COVID vaccine trial revealed an almost 95-percent effectiveness rate, but it could be some time before one or more vaccines are administered. In Louisiana, the number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital has surpassed 800. It’s at 818 the highest total since September 2nd.
