Crump says Robinson broke a water pipe and flooeded his cell. Authorities also say Robinson and the victim had a romantic history.

Former Baton Rouge Police officer Blane Salamoni has appealed his firing with a local civil service board. Police Chief Murphy Paul says Salamoni did not follow policies and procedures when he fatally shot Alton Sterling in 2016. Salamoni’s attorney John McLindon says he’s heard from officers nationwide that the firing was unjust….

The state has activated its Crisis Action Team, because of the threat of severe weather today and tomorrow. Northwest Louisiana is under a tornado watch until 10 PM tonight.
