Louisiana’s Fortified Roof Grant Program, aimed at helping homeowners strengthen their roofs against hurricanes, is facing scrutiny as it carries over millions in unspent funds due to homeowners withdrawing due to out-of-pocket costs.

The National Hurricane Center continues to give a small area of low pressure way out in the Atlantic Ocean a low chance of developing into a named storm. The system will continue to make its way towards the Caribbean Sea.
The run of dry weather will allow for Louisiana corn producers to complete their harvest this week, and yields are way up over last year when the state suffered through a historic drought. LSU AgCenter Corn and Cotton Specialist Shelly Pate Kerns says unfortunately, an increase in yields, plus slightly lower input costs, will not not result in more money for farmers…

South Louisiana will start to see higher rain chances tomorrow. Higher rain chances for north Louisiana will come on Friday.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys will have a Q-R code on the back of their  football helmets this season which will allow fans to support that player’s  NIL potential. LSU Coach Brian Kelly says NIL opportunities are great players, but the Q-R code on a helmet is a bit much…
