A Lafayette Police officer is in critical condition today after he was hit by an impaired driver and dragged under the vehicle. LPD spokesperson Sgt. A motorcyclist was killed in LaFourche Parish yesterday. Trooper Ross Brennan says 39-year-old Tricia Vicknair fo Shreiver crossed the centerline while in a curve on Louisiana Highway 20 and hit another vehicle head-on. A toxicology sample was collected from both drivers and submitted for analysis while the crash remains under investigation.
