No action at the State Capitol today, but the Senate Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee will hold a hearing Sunday to hear the House-approved bills that cut income taxes for individuals and there’s also tax cuts for businesses. Senate Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Chairman Franklin Foil says they will also hear measures that will raise tax revenues through sales taxes

A Dequincy man has been cited for alleged deer hunting violations that include dumping deer carcasses from a bridge in the Calcasieu Parish town of Starks.  LDWF Lt. Wendel Vaughn says 62-year-old Ronald Owens was cited for failing to tag deer and gross littering
