The Saints second leading rusher, Mark Ingram, has landed in Baltimore, reportedly signing a three-year, 15-million dollar contract with the Ravens. New Orleans will attempt to replace Ingram with Latavius Murray, who has agreed to a 4-year, 14.4 million dollar contract. NFL analyst Mike Detillier says the two have similar styles.

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser has granted an official pardon to a lucky crustacean which means the mudbug will not go into a crawfish boil. Several Romanians have been arrested in Livingston Parish after allegedly being in the country illegally, and running a “skimming” scam targeting gas stations along the I-12 coordinator, where devices were plugged into credit card readers to make “clones” of cardsv. Sheriff Jason Ard says it can be tough to prevent skimming, so always keep an eye on your money.

Ard says they targeted the I-12 because of easy in and out access to popular gas stations along the heavily trafficked route.
Fire deaths are down this year in Louisiana, with only 17 on the books compared to last year’s 30. State Fire Marshal Butch Browning says fewer deaths is a welcomed trend, but one is oen too many, so they’re keeping up their fire safety education efforts, and they hope the community will continue fireproofing their homes.
