House Speaker Louisiana Republican Mike Johnson and Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries announced a bipartisan House Task Force consisting of seven Republicans and six Democrats to investigate the assassination attempt and get answers to the American public.

The task force will be empowered with all investigative authority of the House of Representatives including subpoena authority.
