A new attack ad slams Governor Edwards for the hiring of alleged sexual assaulter and harasser, Johnny Anderson, to his administration. Matt Doyle has the story.

The U-S Supreme Court has agreed to hear an abortion case out of Louisiana. In 2014, the state legislature approved a law requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. The law has been put on hold over concerns from abortion providers that it could close two of the state’s three abortion clinics.

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services receives a national award for its work in adoption from the US Department of Health and Human Services.  DCFS Secretary Marketa Garner Walters says DCFS is one of twelve recipients being recognized in its efforts to boost the number of foster children placed in permanent homes.
