Zachary PD Chief Darryl Lawrence says they received a call around three am of an individual trying to steal a car. Two out of the four inmates who escaped from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail over the weekend have been apprehended. At a news conference authorities says jail officials didn’t know they had escaped until a family member called about one of the escapees, that call came after one visited a relative seeking shelter.
