State Police Trooper Michael Reichardt says the officer’s injury is non-life threatening, while the other shooting victim is in serious condition at a Shreveport hospital. Reichardt says 19-year-old Princeton Adams was arrested shortly after the shooting, which happened at 1:30 in the morning

Rispone has a 49 percent favorability rating, and a 38 percent unfavorable rating with voters.

Edwards ended the primary with 47 percent of the vote, and Weissert says his lack of gains point towards a troubling sign that his support may be capped out.

Despite his lack of electoral support, Edwards remains a popular figure with a 55 percent approval rating and a 39 percent disapproval rating.

McDaniel says the crash area is not too far from his family’s farm and has a first-hand account of the crash.

McDaniel says the project started as a crowdfunding effort to put up a road sign commemorating the crash area, but after a huge outpouring of support, a giant black granite monument was able to be covered.  McDaniel says tickets for the event are still available and have been purchased by attendees from 18 different states.

State Police have identified the man who shot two people early this morning during a gathering at the Assembly Center on Grambling State’s campus. 19-year-old Pinceston Adams of Shreveport has been charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder. A police officer was shot in the leg, the other shooting victim is in serious condition.

There’s been no word on how Williamson hurt his knee. The Pels conclude the preseason tonight with a game against the New York Knicks.

The Saints will head to the Windy City for a Sunday matchup with the Chicago Bears. The Black and Gold have won four in a row with Teddy Bridgewater as their starting QB. Sean Payton says Bridgewater’s performance showcases the aspects of his demeanor that the coach appreciates at the QB position.

The Golden Eagles are 4-and-2 overall and they are coming off a 45-27 win over North Texas. Southern Miss QB Jack Abraham threw for 421 yards and three touchdowns in that game and Coach Skip Holtz says his defense will be tested…
