The Ragin Cajuns host Texas State tomorrow and Coach Mark Hudspeth says Andre Nunez will start at quarterback. Nunez has come off the bench the last two games and provided UL-Lafayette’s offense with a spark. Last Saturday, he threw for 213 yards and one touchdown in a win over Idaho.

The NFL Owners will meet next week to discuss a National Anthem policy. Commissioner Roger Goodell sent a memo to all 32 teams that said it’s time for the league to move past this controversy and he believes that players should stand during the national anthem. NFL analyst Mike Detillier says Goodell remained silent too long on this issue…

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the Saints will sign linebacker Gerald Hodges, who started 12 games for the 49ers last season. Hodges was released by the Bills in September. The LSU Police Department has charged 10 students in connection to the death fraternity pledge of Maxwell Gruver. All ten are facing a misdemeanor hazing charge and Matthew Alexander Naquin is also charged with negligent homicide. Police reports indicated that Gruver died after a night of playing the drinking game “Bible Study” in which pledges are forced to drink if they answer questions about the fraternity incorrectly.

The LSU Police Department has made 10 arrests of members of LSU’s Phi Delta Theta fraternity in connection to the death of pledge Maxwell Gruver. One of the students arrested, Matthew Alexander Naquin, is booked with negligent homicide. All are charged with hazing.
