Investigators are looking into the death of an eight-month-old child left in a car for several hours. Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Dawn Panepinto says the guardian never dropped off the child to a day care center and when they returned to pick up the toddler, it was discovered the infant was still in the vehicle…

A Clinton man police allege killed three and injured one in East Feliciana and East Baton Rouge Parishes is in custody. One of the victims was 66-year-old Carroll Breeden and his daughter, Marcy Breeden Slotte, wants to know why this happened…:

There is a lot of concern circling the nation about dry conditions due to the destruction happening in California from wildfires. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an 8-month-old baby boy who was left in a car for hours Wednesday. A preliminary investigation determined the child was unintentionally left inside the vehicle from about 8am until he was discovered around 4:30pm.

Saints Head Coach Sean Payton calls the trade of running back Adrian Peterson to Arizona a “win-win” situation. Payton says it gives Peterson more opportunities to carry the ball and the Saints still have enough depth at running back to get through the season….

A majority of House members are in Baton Rouge today to discuss how the state will address the loss of over a billion dollars in temporary taxes, which will create a massive budget deficit for the fiscal year that begins in July. Four fraternities at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette have been suspended in the wake of LSU Phi Delta Theta fraternity pledge Maxwell Gruver’s death. ULL Dean of Students Margarita Perez says more people are coming forward to report hazing and she hopes these students can find other ways to bond with the fraternity…:

In Gruver’s case, police reports indicate witnesses told authorities that the pledge, who had a .495 blood alcohol level at the time of death, was forced to drink more than other pledges because he kept messing up the Greek alphabet.

East Feliciana and East Baton Rouge Parish officials announce an arrest has been made in a string of recent drive by shootings which claimed the lives of 3 men and injured another. They say significant evidence was developed by a task force against 36-year-old Ryan Sharpe, and when in custody, the man confessed. Sharpe is charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

In addition to the charges of battery of a dating partner, police say they found drugs for which Porter did not have a prescription.
